Bill Dybvad has taken his last flight. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, friend, a true Dane has left an empty seat at the table not to be filled. Bill was born in Racine, Wisconsin raised by a mother, grandmother and aunt. Our memories abound of ice skating and the wonderful lakes shared with brother, sister and his uncle Frank. Bill's father died in a horrible accident and the family moved to D.C. Gerda had married Chris in the states, all were true Danes and carried tradition honoring Denmark with akaviet kringle shots and Danish food. Bill had a love affair with flying and met Audrey in Texas and married in Pennsylvania. Three children later, much Air Force traveling in England and Japan. With family settled in Ohio he decided a job at Duriron was time to settle down and Ohio became his home. He was an all around person for friends and family, charmed by his grandchildren Kelsey, Audrey and Steven who added to his life and happiness. We will always miss his laugh, his bar-b-que and his love of family and friends. Thank you for the many happy times and good friends, Air Force and otherwise. Bill, see you again, not to be separated from your loved ones.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Gerda Dybvad and brother, James Dybvad.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Audrey; daughter, Lisa (Steve Dingee); sons, Bruce (Karen), Chris (Kim), grandchildren, Kelsey, Audrey Jo, Steven; sister; Ruth Wetherington, sister, Janet Tink and many loving nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
