William Larry Davis Sr., 67, of Dayton, passed away on December 14, 2016 at Dayton V.A. Hospice. He was born on September 28, 1949 to William and Mildred (Jones) Davis at Jellico, TN. Larry served our country and protected our freedoms by serving as a US Army SSG platoon leader in Vietnam. William worked as a Machinist for Dayton Progress (1968-1980) and Ultra Punch of Dayton (1980-2009).
In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his sister, Emma Laura Couch, and four nephews, Robert Arahood, Paul Arahood Jr., David Couch, and Billy Wathen Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Dianna; three sons, Wm. Larry Jr., Condy (Shawna), and Orville (Jennifer) Davis; Grandchildren, Tiffany (Jamie), Tyler (Heather), Timothy (Kayla), Teah (Corey), Michael, Sebrina, Mikayla, and Bethany Davis, and Corey (Alvin) Vollmer; Siblings, Ollie Mae and Jack Miller, Janice and Paul Arahood, Linda and James Thorstenson, Shirley and Frank Wood, and Ronald and Kate Arahood; and so many nieces and nephews, lots of friends and family who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 17, 2016, 10:00am – 12:00pm at Community of Faith Church, Orville Davis officiating, 400 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio with a Funeral Service following. Burial will follow at Preble Memory Gardens.
