William "Fred" Davis, age 80 of Centerville, passed away July 7, 2020 at Dayton V.A. Medical Center. He was born November 6, 1939 in Troy, TN to the late Clifton and Laverne (Morphis) Davis. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Cynthia Dawn and 2 brothers.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Glenda; children, Missy (Rusty) Stephens, Kay (Russ) Miller and Brandi Abbey; grandchildren, Austin (Shirvon) Stephens, Laura Stephens, Logan Miller, Cassie Miller, Coliya (Izabelle) Coach, Lyllia Coach, Elli Coach, Olivia Abbey, Gavin Abbey, Noah Abbey, Leiland Abbey and Madison Abbey; great-grandchildren, Caleb Stephens, Aiden Stephens and Layla Kerrigan; siblings, James (Mary) Davis and Wanda (Glenn) Reed; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends.
Fred proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years, seeing action in Vietnam. Following his time in the military, Fred chose a life of service to the Lord through gospel preaching and missionary work abroad.
A private service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
