Dearly loved husband to Karen Humphries for 42 years. Devoted father to daughter Kristen (Shane) Sears, sons Shayne Humphries, Stuart Humphries and Stefan (Teresa ) Humphries.
Loving Papaw to Lauren and Lily Sears, Mike and Matt Humphries, Teasha Adams, Jessica Sexton and Kelly Nicholl. Great Grandfather of six.
Preceded in death by his parents William and Bertha Humphries, six siblings and his daughter Paige and her Mother Patsy.
Bill bravely lived with Alzheimer's disease showing courage, dignity and strength of character. He was supported by his devoted family including his sister and brother in law Ann and Eddie Weaver and sister in law Sue Humphries who walked this journey with us.
Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He was employed for over 40 years as a contractor at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
Bill was a devoted member of Christian Life Center.
Bill was a kind, loving man who cherished his family and friends, and lifted others up with his encouragement and kindness.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Dayton for their compassionate care especially nurse April Mayberry, social worker Bonnie Hitchcock and nurse Tammy Lawson from Gem City Home Care.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home North Chapel, 404 Needmore Rd. A funeral service will begin at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, July 28 at Christian Life Center, 3489 Little York Rd., Dayton, OH 45414 with Pastor Libby Martin and Pastor Amber Harris-Reed officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton if desired.
