William Combs

COMBS, William M. "Cotton", 87, of Riverside, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011.

He is preceded in death by his son Ronald Combs. William is survived by his wife of 60 years, June Combs; daughter Teresa Bennett; grandchildren Michelle Hopkins, Jennifer Bennett, Stacey (Stephen) Cassanio, Megan Johnson, and Adam Rismiller; great grandchildren Chelsey Hopkins, Brooklynn Cassanio, and William Johnson; brothers Jerry Combs and John Corbett Combs; sister Lillie Mae Williams; and many other family and friends.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

William was a veteran in both the U.S. Army and Marine Corp. with service during WWII where he received a purple heart.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the veteran's charity of your choice.
