William Joseph Clemens, age 69 of Huber Heights, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born July 12, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Clyde and Helen (Penrod Clemens.
In addition to his parents, WIlliam was preceded in death by his wife, Andra Clemens and brother, Bob Clemens.
William is survived by his son, Gary Clemens of Huber Heights; daughter, Lisa (Joe) Wines of Nevada; step-children, Tom Auten (Andrea) of California and Linda Shisler (Tom) of Columbus; grandchildren, Brian, Jacob, Nate, Matt, Andrew, Jonathan, Ashley, Kayla and William; great grandchildren, Nick, Logan, Lauren and Kylah; brother, Richard Clemens; sisters, Becky France, Sue Clemens, Cindy (Ken) Rupert, Nancy (John) Klempay, Robin Clemens and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
William attended high school and had vocational training. He retired from Elder-Beermans and had a successful career in sales. William was a dog lover, enjoyed playing darts and fishing. He also advocated for animal rights and dedicated the last 15 years of his life providing a forever home for his 5 rescued dogs, Hollie, Roxie, Pooh, Wolfie and Lucky .
Visitation will be held from 1-3 PM Friday, March 30, 2018 at Newcomer - South Chapel, Kettering. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3 PM also at Newcomer South Chapel. Williams family will lay him to rest in Hawaii at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gary Clemens for the care of William's beloved dogs.
