William F. Brandt Iii

William F. Brandt III, age 85 of Fairborn, OH passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 30, 2022 with his family surrounding him at Dayton V.A. Medical Center. He was born June 25, 1936 in Cincinnati, Ohio to William II and Mary (Brisco) Brandt. He married Ersilia Di Girolamo on September 16, 1961 in Cincinnati, OH.
Bill graduated from Greenhills High School in 1956 and played football, basketball, baseball and was on the diving team. He was part of the State Championship football and basketball teams for Greenhills. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army. He served his church most of his life as a Eucharistic Minister and held several church offices. He coached his sons in all the sports they participated in with the Northside K of C. Bill worked for Bedinghaus Business Forms, retired from Duro Bag Company, and went on to work for Delta Airlines and finally retired to the home that they built in Williamstown, KY. He and Ersilia enjoyed cruising and traveling through Europe with his brother-in-law John and his wife Barbara. He enjoyed playing cards with his brother-in-law Pat and his wife Lina. He was an avid golfer and got out as often as he could with his father Bus and his two sons.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Ersilia; sons, Mike (Lesa) Brandt and Steve (Teresa) Brandt; five grandchildren, Joe, Krystle, Jonathan and Zach; four great grandchildren, Calvin, Connor, Kiara, Kam'ron and Alex; brother, Richard "Dick" (Libby) Brandt; and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 10:00 to 12:00 Noon at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel 3300 Parkcrest Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45211. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at the funeral home. Entombment will follow the services at Old St. Joseph Cemetery, 3819 W. 8th Street, Cincinnati, OH 45205.
