William A. Boivin, lovingly known as Bill, age 73, of Huber Heights, passed away on October 2, 2023. He was born on June 14, 1950 to the late Robert and Edna Boivin. He was raised with his siblings in the Ohio Soldiers & Sailors Orphans Home in Xenia.
He was an avid sports fan, and he enjoyed watching baseball and football. His favorite teams were the Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds, along with Ohio State Football. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and fishing, and he was very talented winning prizes in the claw machine. Bill was a wonderful father and grandfather, and he enjoyed going to the park with his grandchildren. He also spent a lot of time with his niece, Renee, and her family.
He was a very generous person, and he enjoyed laughing. His laughter and spirit will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his siblings: Judy, Gary, Mike, and Tom; and his partner, Lori Smith.
He will be remembered by his son, Ryan Boivin (Christina Kennedy); grandchildren: Brooke, Tristyn, Peyton, Madison, and Ariana; siblings: Robert Boivin (Karen), Nancy Meyers (Jim), Mary Pritchett (Dave), David Boivin (Joann); mother of his son, Kristy Atkins; his best friends, Ronnie Wiley Jr. and Rocky Wheeler; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Family and friends are welcome to gather for a Memorial Celebration from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, Ohio, where the Service will begin at 2:00pm.
