William "Bill"K. Hicks

William "Bill" K. Hicks, age 89 of Kettering, Ohio passed away peacefully on June 29, 2022. He was born June 30, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio son of the late Robert and Lottie Hicks.

Bill was a devoted spouse, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Bill worked at NCR, Standard Register, and R.T.Dodge in Centerville for many years. He also owned his own Bartending Service. When not working he loved being a member of the Miami Miatia Club and the Kettering Bango Society. He enjoyed listening to his audio books, traveling to Florida, and spending time with his family. Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret; brothers, Robert "Danny". Jimmy, and Larry Hicks; and wife, Shirlene.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Mike) Brink; grandchildren, Victoria, Joseph, and Jessica Brink; fiance, Carolyn Gibbs; Carolyns children, Jason (Dee) Cooper, Christina (Ralph) Lacey; her grandsons, Levi, Mason, and Keegan; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 12-1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A funeral service will begin at 1pm at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
