Nelson, William A., age 71, of Miamisburg, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014. He was born August 28, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio to the late William & Theresa (Hafner) Nelson.
William retired from Kroger as a meat merchandiser with over 30 years of service and was a member of Wyoming St. Community Church.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Carolyn (Blades) Nelson; daughters and sons-in-law: Melissa (Donald) Huskey and Audra (Billy) Thomas; grandchildren: Elizabeth, Eric, Brittany & Victoria; great grandchildren: Alayna, Beau, William & Evelyn; sister and brother-in-law: Betty (Ronald) Free; and numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 3:00 P.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to SICSA in memory of William.
