Willedene Argast
Age 87, formerly of Trotwood and Englewood, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Spring Hills Singing Woods nursing home.
She was born on November 28, 1923 (along with twin sister, Bernedene) to Claud and Viola Bowman. She graduated from Trotwood-Madison High School in 1942 and that is where she met her life partner, Joe. He was her dear companion and soul mate, and they enjoyed square and round dancing for 15 years. After Joe's death in 1995, Willedene enjoyed playing euchre and bingo at Earl Heck Senior Center in Englewood until moving to Spring Hills Singing Woods assisted living.
She is survived by her dear family that she was so proud of and loved very much: Son, Steve (Theresa) Argast of Brookville and daughter, Jennifer Collinsworth of Englewood. Her twin sister, Bernedene Watt of Brookville; her grandchildren, Allan (Holly) Argast, Tiffany (Don) Miracle, Heather (Brian) Shively and Amy (Steve) Pryor; eight great grandchildren; numerous nieces, a nephew, extended family & many good friends.
The family would like to thank Spring Hills Singing Woods and VITAS Hospice care for their wonderful and compassionate care.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 Noon until time of service. Interment will follow at Eversole Cemetery.
Contributions may be made in memory of Willedene to VITAS Hospice.
