Willard D. Patterson

Willard D. "Bo" Patterson, age 83 of Dayton, passed away November 16, 2019. He was born August 8, 1936 in Ezel, KY to the late Henry and Bertha Patterson. In addition to his parents, Bo was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Wilber "Jack", Clay, Robert "Bob", Henry Lee and Chalmer; 4 sisters: Edna Clark, Virginia Osborne, Virgie Fugate and Mary McMahon; and a host of brothers-in-law.

Bo is survived by his wife of 59 years, Minnie Watkins Patterson; daughter, Pamela Sue (Kerry) Harner; sons: Willard Scott (Arlene) Patterson and John Meehling; 14 grandchildren: Mindy Hartman, Libby Fickert, Melanie (John) Zeller, Michelle (Eric) Drerup, Krystl Harner, Karri Harner, Kandis Harner, Emma Meehling, Lucie Harner, Scarlet McSherry, Jennifer McSherry, Tony Patterson, Johnny Patterson, Kenny Harner, Dustin Harner and Andrew Meehling; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Geneva Bolin; and many nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.

Bo enjoyed spending time with his family; he cherished his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. He loved fishing, hunting and visiting West Liberty, KY, his home place. Bo enjoyed mowing on the riding lawn mower; he loved country, bluegrass music, laying in a lounge chair in the sun, planting flowers and doing yard work.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where a funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm. A funeral procession will form at the funeral home on Thursday at 10:00 am, leaving at 10:15 am, arriving at 10:30 am at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery for a graveside service.
