Hartman, Willard Marlin, age 79, of Miami Township, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2012. Willard was a United States Army Veteran proudly serving from 1953 to 1955 and retired from General Motors as a job setter with over 39 years of service.
Willard is survived by his wife: Mildred "Micki" I. Hartman; sons and daughters-in-law: Gary Marlin (Deanna Gail) Hartman & Daren Edward (Julie) Hartman; grandchildren: Sabella Jane Hartman, DeLaney Ann Hartman & Evan Edward Hartman; brother: Rolen Hartman; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Rolen & Louise (Pontius) Hartman; his first wife: Patricia Hartman and his sister: Clova Pummil. Willard was a loving and devoted husband, dad, grandpa and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering with Pastor Dennis Miles officiating. Interment will follow the service at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Hospice of Dayton or the Susan G. Komen, For the Cure Foundation in memory of Willard.
