Willa J. Ries, age 84 of Trotwood, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Friendship Village. She was born January 23, 1934 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter to the late Leon and Edna Belanger.
Willa was a loving mother and grandmother known to many as "Gma". She cherished spending time with her family especially this time of year, during Christmas. Willa loved having fun going to the casino, playing bingo, cards, and dancing among other things. She will be remembered as a "spitfire" and the life of any party.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Thill; son-in-law, Dan Shaner and sister, Joann Kincaid.
Willa will be missed by her two daughters, Kathy (Dan) Bokeno and Wendy Shaner; Jeff (Sarah Foley) Treber, Jeremy (Katrina) Treber and Matthew Treber; great grandchildren, Ethan, Kennedy, Parker, Colten, RaeLynn and Jaxon and two nephews, Mark (Kitty) Kincaid and David (Theresa) Kincaid.
Family will receive friends for a visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio.
