Wilgus James Napier

Wilgus J. "Will" Napier, age 79, of Xenia, passed away on January 31, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born in Little, Kentucky, on April 26, 1943, the son of the late Willie and Laura Napier.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved wife of 58 years, Mary "Kathy" Napier.
Will is survived by his loving children, Natalie (Ric) Bailey of Lexington, South Carolina and Mike Napier of Xenia, Ohio; grandchildren, Griffin Bailey of Blacksburg, Virginia, Madison (Edwin) Brown, Kamryn Bailey all of Lexington, South Carolina and Ava Natalie Napier of Xenia, Ohio; brothers, Donald (the late Barbara) Napier and Wayne (Pam) Napier; and many other loving family, friends and former students.
He retired from Xenia Community Schools as an Elementary Principal in 1992. Will was also the Owner/Operator of Napier-Sebastian Construction Company and Sebastian Hills Golf Club. He had a passion for playing golf, spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren) and sharing stories. Will never met a stranger. He always had an opinion about everything, and for that reason, he was immensely loved. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the amazing medical staff at Kettering Health Main Campus. The care, compassion and dedication they provided to Will was truly felt and real.
At the wishes of Will, there will not be a formal service. A private family service will be held at a later date. An informal Celebration of Life for Will and Kathy will be held on Friday, February 10 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Nick's Restaurant in Xenia, OH.
