Age 93, of Englewood, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2010.
Wilbur was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine (Tillison) Johns.
Wilbur is survived by three sons, William Mark Johns, Kenneth Edward & his wife, Sandy Johns and Gary Allen & his wife, Allie Johns; three grandchildren, Jason, Jacob & Mark; two great grandchildren, Spencer & Sydney; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Wilbur retired from General Motors with 30 years of service. During most of his working life he also drove a school bus. He serviced three tours of duty in the U. S. Army during WW II in Guam and was a member of the American Legion, the VFW and the Masonic Lodge # 737 F&AM in West Carrollton.
The family will be receiving friends from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., Saturday (2/6) at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton with funeral services to follow at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
The family would like to thank the staff of Brookdale Place and Acclaim Hospice for the love & care they provided to Wilbur. Contributions may be made in memory of Wilbur to Acclaim Hospice.
