FINK, Wilbur T., age 86 of Beavercreek, passed into Heaven's Gates on February 25, 2017. He was born to the late Thomas J. Fink and Bernice Fink-Koogler. From 1936-1942 Wilbur and his brother, Charles Fink lived at The Xenia Orphanage due to the start of WWII. In 1949, Wilbur joined the United States Navy, due to the Korean War. He proudly served for 3 years, 9 months, and 25 days. He then started working for IBEW Local 82 in 1954. He retired in 1990.
Wilbur met the love of his life, Georgia and they married on June 16, 1956. Wilbur built his family home in Beavercreek.
He leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Georgia Fink; 3 sons, Tom, Rodney, and John (Beth) Fink; daughter, Candace (Richard) Weaver, 4 granddaughters, and 6 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Wilbur's nurse of 4 years, Brian Coons and the staff at Dayton VA Hospice/Medical Center.
A funeral will take place on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 2pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel.
The family will greet friends and loved ones for one hour prior (1pm-2pm). Burial to follow at Beaver Cemetery, where military honors will be rendered.
