Age 78. Born December 6, 1931, passed away at Hospice of Dayton on Thursday, October 14, 2010.
He was a loving husband and father. Wilbur graduated from Patterson Co-Op High School in 1950. He worked for NCR for 28 years and GM for 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Joanna R. (Finch) Bretelson, his parents, John & Vera Bretelson and by one sister, Betty Patton (Bretelson).
Survivors include his children, Steven (Cynthia), Julie, Douglas, John (Rose), Patrick (Pamela); his grandchildren, Kasey (Tim), Kelly, Christopher, Michael, Timothy, Briana, Kelsey, Makenzie; and by his great grandchildren, Tristen, Timmy, Kory, Laken, Kadence, Gracee.
Wilbur will be remembered for his thoughtfulness and unconditional love.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Sunday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Dave Brinkmoeller at St. Helen's Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m., Monday. The family will also be receiving friends at the church from 9:15 until time of Mass. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
