Wendy Cousins (Willa Steenman), age 64 of Miamisburg, passed away at 1:50 AM at Hospice of Dayton on March 19, 2012.
Wendy was born on July 24, 1947 in Fort Wayne IN. She was married to Alphonse Cousins from 1965 until his passing last year. She had worked since the mid-80's for Bircraft in Huntington, Indiana and then for the Good Neighbor House since moving to Miamisburg, Ohio a few years ago.
Wendy is survived by her children, David, Linda, Robert, Peter & Kathy. Also by her grandchildren, Trevor & Preston Willis, of Wisconsin, Andrew, Anna & Aeryn Cousins of North Carolina and Caleb & Mason Burns of Ohio. And by her half-brother, Simeon "Bud" Mentzer.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Steenman from Holland. By her mother, Mabel May Brown of Wabash, Indiana. By her daughter, Sandra Cousins and by her husband, Alphonse. Wendy was a member of the Centerville Seventh Day Adventist Church.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 5:00-6:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). A memorial service will follow at 6:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wendy's memory to The Good Neighbor House (844 South Patterson Boulevard Dayton, OH 45402).
