Wendell Spencer

Spencer, Wendell, age 72, of Waynesville, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014. Wendell retired from Ford Motor Company with close to 30 years of service. He was a United States Army Veteran and loved playing the guitar, singing and spending time with his grandkids.

Wendell is survived by his son: Michael S. Spencer; daughters and sons-in-law: Tammy R. (Mark) Schrock and Rhonda K. (Tim) Scherkenbach; grandchildren: Chad, Tyler & Haley Schrock, Courtney, Spencer & Nathan Scherkenbach; brothers: Keith (Sheri), Paul (Jane) & Greg (Lesa); and sisters: Betty (Bob), Wanda (Pat), Shirley (Bob) & Darlene. He was preceded in death by his parents: Darly & Estella Spencer; brother: Lester Spencer and sister: Reva Pierce.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Interment will follow the service at Butler County Memorial Gardens in Trenton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. The family would like to send a special thank you to Kingston of Miamisburg and Hospice of the Miami Valley for the great care Wendell received.
