Wei Xiong, 40, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on June 22, 2023. She was born in Wuhan, China, the daughter of Keyong and Lili.
Wei graduated from Galion High School in 2001. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio University, her Master's at Miami (Ohio) University, and her PhD in creative writing from Florida State University. She taught composition at Miami University, the University of Phoenix, and North Central State College. She most recently served as assistant program manager at Keylogic.
Wei had a passion for writing, for books, and for learning, a fascination with languages, and an appreciation for the aesthetics of design and fashion.
She is survived by her husband Sean and her son Hughes, as well as her parents Keyong and Lili.
A private service was held at the convenience of the family.
