Green, Weaver Sr, "Sparky", 81, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016.
He was born June 6, 1935 to Molly Ramey Green and Byrd Green in Kona, KY Letcher Co., and was raised up in Big Rock, Virginia, a suburb of Grundy, Virginia. A U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. Sparky retired from General Motors (Inland Division) after 34 years of service.
He is survived by his wife Patti M. Green; 4 children, Jeffery Green and wife Judy, Phyllis Jackson and husband Larry, Yvonne Gray and husband Richard, Weaver Green, Jr; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Victoria Campbell and husband, Willy; and brother, Charlie Green.
Special thanks to the nurses and aids of Crossroads Hospice.
Visitation 12:30 to 1:30pm Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home 4104 Needmore Rd where funeral service will follow at 1:30pm. Burial at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
