Wayne Tackett "Big Wayne", age 71 of Dayton, passed away March 26, 2019. He was born April 23, 1947 in Dayton to the late Wayne Tackett and Helen White. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and Ralph.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Tackett; son, Wayne Tackett; step-daughters, Roxanne Shumway and Rhonda (Noah) Garrett; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Susie Price, Melissa Foreman, Cathy (Jeff) Hawk and Lew White; best four-legged friend, Max and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Wayne was known as a hard-working man. He cherished his family and would do anything he could for them.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, OH 45424.
