Age 74, of Dayton, passed away, Friday, June 5, 2009. Wayne served in the US Army & Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner & operator of Nelson's Photographic Studio from 1969 to 1998. He was a published author & served as a pastor in Ohio & Kentucky & faithfully served at Grace Christian Center in Beavercreek for over 20 years. He was active on many public works committees & served his community in many ways. Wayne is survived by his wife of 50 years Judy; children Alice Kaltenmark (John), Craig Nelson (Angie) & Sharon Cooper (Jason); grandchildren Morgan Martin (Rob), Andrew Kaltenmark (Danielle), Laura & Kathryn Kaltenmark; great-grandchildren Gavin Martin & Dylan Kaltenmark; sister Audrey Nelson Black; brother Kenneth Nelson. He was highly respected & loved by many. Memorial Services will be held, Sunday, June 14th at 6:00pm at Grace Christian Center, 4184 E. Patterson Rd, Dayton, 45430 with Pastor Jim Martin, Ph.D officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Wayne R. Nelson Memorial Fund at Grace Christian Center.
