Wanda F. Roper

Wanda F. Roper, age 74, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 10, 1949 in Dayton, OH to the late Eileen Nelson and Aubrey Fee.

Wanda loved more than anything making memories with her family. Often times she would be found on the deck of her pool or at the kitchen table surrounded by her children. From card game nights, Sunday morning breakfasts, and to hosting birthday parties, every minute of every day was devoted to those she loved. She enjoyed talking about the "good old days" and how happy Charlie and her were together. She had a way of giving life advice without you even realizing that was what was happening.

Her front door was open to anyone and everyone and once you came inside, you were considered family. She loved being a mom, but she loved being a mamaw more. If you ask any of her grandbabies, they would tell you that she was the best mamaw in the world. To know Wanda was to know unconditional love. She will be missed by everyone who was blessed to know her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Charlie Roper; her daughters, Tobye Roper and Tracy Roper Reynolds and her granddaughter, Jodi Jones.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin Jones; her son, Charlie (Beth) Roper; her grandchildren, Jessica, Tara, Kerri, Tony, Toby, Gavin, Henry and Meghan; her great-grandchildren, Hannah, Landyn, Amber, Jacob, Tony, Sophia, Avery, Colton, Cain, Gabby, Trevin, Colin and Aaliyah. She is also survived by her special son-in-law, Mike Jones, numerous family and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with services immediately following, all at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, OH 45424. Wanda will be laid to rest in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
