Wanda Faye Ramey, age 81, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 04, 2023.
Wanda was born in Lee County, VA on June 12, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Ollie Wood and Dollie Mae Harrison, she was one of 12 children.
Wanda was a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church. She was married to the love of her life for 62 years. Wanda will be deeply missed by her family.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her brothers, Vernon Wood and wife Barbara, Olen Wood and Glenn Allen Wood, sisters, Betty Slagle and husband Alex and Rita Bledsoe.
She is survived by her husband Gerald C. Ramey Sr., children, Gerald C. Ramey Jr., Shelia Owens and husband David; grandchildren, Christopher Owens and Katie Rader great grandchild Cali Foskett; siblings, Carolyn Rasnic, David Wood, Phyllis Fannon and husband Paul, Judy Hubble, John Wood and wife Jean, Gary Wood and wife Denise, Brother-in-law Curtis Bledsoe and other nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 11, 2023 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Mullins-Sturgill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Shannon Powers officiating.
The committal service will follow in the Ramey Family Cemetery in Jonesville, Virginia.
