Wanda Lee Menefee-Beeman

Wanda Lee Menefee-Beeman was born to Wanda R. Menefee and George Jones on July 1, 1973 in Dayton. She was preceded in death by parents Cecelia and Edward T. Jackson; mother, Wanda R. Menefee.
Wanda Lee (Lil' Wanda) made her transition at Kettering Hospital on Tuesday, September 6th.

Lil' Wanda grew up at Tabernacle Church of God in Christ under the pastorates of the late Supt. Marshall Stone and late Pastor Joseph McQueen. She worked untiringly at Tabernacle from the basement up- as youth leader, choir director, praise and worship leader. Wanda was highly intelligent, very strong and had a heart full of love for all God's people.

Sister Wanda graduated from Patterson High School. She received her pre-med degree from Central State Univ. (1997). While at Central State, Sister Wanda participated in their concert choir traveling extensively throughout the country. Following her CSU pre-med degree, Sister Wanda matriculated to Wright State Nursing receiving an academic scholarship from Dayton's VA. She was awarded her Registered Nursing degree from Wright State. She worked devotedly for a number of years at the VA- working her way up to nurse manager of her Unit 3 South SAM.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband William Beeman; 2 children Shamariay and William, Jr.; brother Jamison Menefee; father George Jones; sister-in-law, uncles, other relatives and numerous friends and play sister Jonnie Watson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home- South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439. Family will receive friends from 10 am until service time. Final disposition is cremation. After the funeral, a repast will follow at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church.
