Wanda Lee Hodge, age 76 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at her home. She was born August 31, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late McKevious and Mary Black.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Hodge; daughter, Arletha Black; grandson, Donovan Earnest; brother, Donald Arnold; sister, Florence Jackson; step-sister, Lowana Williams.
Wanda is survived by children, Richard Black, Rhondalean Black, and Milton Black; sisters, Marilyn Hayes, Phyllis Hamilton, Kathy (William) Allen, and Maxine Belk; brothers, Michael Black, Rev. Raymond (Janet) Black, and Douglas Black; step-sister, Marsha Armstrong; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wanda earned her Cosmetology degree from Carousel Beauty College. She also retired from Jewish Covenant House. She will be remembered for being a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439). Funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm.
