Wanda Lee Fulks, age 86, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2021, at her daughter's home. She was born in Wayne County, West Virginia, on May 2, 1934, the daughter of the late Elba and Fay Cox.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Claude & Cleo Cox; very special brother-in-law, Pete Ginter; brother-in-law, Woody Brown; and 2 nephews, Chuck Porter and Josh Ginter.
Wanda is survived by her loving children, Michael Fulks, Judy (Bob) Brown and Beverlee (Randy) Harris; grandsons, Justin (Katie), Shawn (Emily), Adam (Kristin) and Andrew (Courtney); 9 great grandchildren; sister and best friend, Eloise Ginter; sisters, Jewel Brown and Mary Sue (Mike) Franklin; brother, Elba Gene Cox; her very special niece, Vicki Andrews; and a handful of loving nieces, nephews and friends.
She was one of the best waitresses at Frisch's, where she had worked for over 40 years. Her customers would wait in line to have her serve them. Wanda had attended Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed crafts, but her passion was shopping and cleaning her house. She was a great cook and was extremely proud of having a debt free life.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, from 4pm-6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. A Celebration of her life will begin at 6pm, immediately following the visitation. She will be buried this Spring at Hillside Cemetery in West Virginia with her beloved parents.
