Wanda Canterbury

CANTERBURY, Wanda M., 72, of Vandalia passed away Monday, July 7, 2008 at Miami Valley Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents Ben and Ethel; brothers Bill and Buddy; and sister Ruby. Wanda is survived by her husband of 36 years, Benjamin Canterbury; children Tina (Ted) Knox, Richard (Elizabeth) Lafferty, Tisha (Ron) Newport, Renee Fussner, David (Polly) Canterbury, Jeff Canterbury, and James (Sandy) Canterbury; grandchildren Heather, Carrie, Ginny, Logan, Travis, Caitlyn, Madisyn, Hollyn, Willie, Kawika, and Ben; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers Tommy and Ronald Harrison; sisters Myrtle David and Anna (Bill) Copley; numerous other family and friends. She was a member of Northridge Freewill Baptist Church. Wanda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Saturday July 12, 2008 at Northridge Freewill Baptist Church, 4800 Payne Ave. Pastor Tim Hamilton will be officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00PM Friday July 11, 2008 at the church and one hour prior to services Saturday at church. Burial will follow services at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Northridge Freewill Baptist Church.
