Walter F. Wright, Sr.

Walter F. Wright, Sr., age 92, of Huber Heights, Ohio, passed away on October 28, 2022. He was born in Brookville, Ohio, on April 13, 1930 to the late Roy and Margaret Wright. In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Barbara Wright.

Walter is survived by his children: Walt Wright (Ann Reak) and Cathy (John) Stafford; grandchildren: Thomas (Bethany) Wright, Michelle (Kevin) Shannon, Jennifer (Billy) Kelley, Neil (Amanda) Stafford; step-grandchildren: Katie, Kim, Bobbie Jo, and Glen; great grandchildren: Parker, Connor, Carley, Ruby, William, Lillian, Brantley, and Larkin; siblings: Georgie and Larry; and many other family and friends.


Walter was a huge baseball fan, his favorite team was always the Cincinnati Reds. He also enjoyed working in his yard and his daily walks. Nothing was more important to him than time with his family.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will begin at 11:00am. Walter will be laid to rest next to his wife, Barbara, at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City, Ohio.
