Walter Whiteman

WHITEMAN, Walter (Walt), 66 of Dayton, passed away at his residence after a brief illness on Thursday 1/29/04. Survived by his loving wife of 40 yrs. Barbara; 1 daughter, Donna Shampton & husband Robert of Dayton; 2 sons, James Whiteman of Dayton & John Whiteman of Los Angeles, CA.; 1 grandson, Spencer Shampton of Dayton; 4 sisters, Mary Lou Hammer of Williams, OR, Catherine Crispi of Pilesgrove Twp., N.J., Carol Vernich of Hermitage, TN, Peggy Beckman of Crown Pt., IN; 1 brother, Thomas Whiteman of Portage, IN. Walt retired after 26 yrs. of service, with the State of Ohio, Dept. of Liquor Control at the Town & Country State Store. He also served his country from 1959 to 1963 in the U.S. Air Force. Services will be held 11 am Wednesday, 2/4/04 at Newcomer Farley Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Family will receive visitors from 10 am until time of service. Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park.
