Walter "Tud" Roberts, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, passed peacefully on October 18, 2024, in Dayton, Ohio. Born on February 11, 1948, Walter dedicated his life to his family and community, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Walter proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pam Roberts, and their son, Walter (Rachael) Roberts, Jr.; daughter, Dawn Roberts; grandchildren, Walter III, Tyler (Chelsey), Alexis, Sidney, Savannah, Charlie, and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Lydia and Jasper; and sisters, Patsy and Janette.
Walter's interests were diverse and reflected his spirited personality. He found joy in working in the garage on cars, a pastime that highlighted his hands-on skills and creativity. In addition, he cherished the time spent hunting and fishing, often sharing these memorable adventures with friends and family.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Jr. and Nellie Roberts.
A graveside service will be held in honor of Walter on October 30, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Dayton National Cemetery located at 4400 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio. Afterwards, a celebration of life will be held from 3-5pm at City Light Church, 4242 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424.
Walter "Tud" Roberts will be deeply missed, but his spirit and the memories created with those he loved will undoubtedly carry on through generations.
