Walter Moore

Walter L. Moore, age 71 of Riverside, passed away December 28, 2010. He was born September 25, 1939 in Hazard, KY to the late John and Liada Moore. In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

Walter is survived by his wife of 49 years, Vicki; son, Jeff; daughter, Cindy (Chris) Garner; grandchildren: Jessica, Brandon, Joshua, Zachary, Tyler and Rachel; brother, J.D. (Bev) Moore; mother-in-law, Pauline Gibbs; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Walter was retired from the City of Dayton, Bureau of Parks and Recreation; was a veteran of the U.S. Army; and was a deacon at North Central Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm on Sunday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, January 3, 2011. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park. Cemetery
