BAYLEY, Walter K., Jr., age 90, long time resident of Oakwood, passed away on March 31, 2011.
Walter was born August 27, 1920 in Dayton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by wife, Catherine Luken Bayley; son, Stephen Bayley; brother, Frederick Bayley, and sister, Betty Bayley Bartel White.
He is survived by daughter, Sarah Bayley (Dallas, TX); son, Gregory Bayley (Manteo, N.C.), and daughter, Susan Bayley Rajchel (Phoenix, AZ). Walter was a graduate of Steele H.S. and Miami University. He was a decorated WWII veteran who received six medals of honor including the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. His business career included over twenty years of service at Rike's Department Store and as a Manufacturer's Sales Rep for Summergrade and Concord Mills.
Services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek with visitation at 1:00 p.m. followed by services at 2:00 p.m. and burial at Calvary Cemetery.
