TRANGENSTEIN, Walter J., age 86, of Beavercreek, passed away Sunday October 26, 2008. He was born in Dayton June 1, 1922, to the late Hugo and Margaret Trangenstein. Walter served in the US Navy as a Fireman First Class, was a member of the Dayton Industrial Archery Association (DIAA) and retired from Frigidaire after 35 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Anne Trangenstein; son-in-law Karl Bustard; brother Dick Trangenstein and sister Lucille Wedding. Walter is survived by his children, Jim (Dawn) Trangenstein of Jamestown, Kathy Trangenstein-Bustard of Oakwood, and Barb (Tom) Alexander of Lebanon; grandchildren, Eric and Brian Alexander and Nick and Laura Sexton; brothers Norbert (Mary) Trangenstein of Phillipsburg, Ray (Sue) Trangenstein of Kettering and Bob (Pat) Trangenstein of Dayton; and sister Dorothy (Bill) Kolb of TN. The family would like to thank special friends and caregivers Loretta and Tina Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2008 at St. Mary's Church, 310 Allen Street, Dayton. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the mass. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Honor Flight (300 E Auburn Ave, Springfield, OH, 45505).
