Walter J. "Doc" Olsen Jr., 90, of Beavercreek, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014. He was born November 16, 1923 in Dayton, OH. Doc was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille V. Olsen; his parents and two sisters, Helen and Catherine. He served our country and protected our freedom in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. Walter also worked for 42 years in civil services and will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his children, Larry (Bev) Olsen, Lucinda (David) Rhoads and Lisa (Norman) Hicks; four Grandchildren, Lucas (Michelle) Richardson, Laif Richardson, Jeff Olsen and Eric (Dee-Dee) Olsen; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
