INGRAM, Walter, age 87, of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015. Walter was born on November 2, 1927 in Charleston, WV to the late, Thomas and Sadie Ingram. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, who was the love of his life, Aleen Ingram; infant daughter, Sandra Jean Ingram; sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Dayton Comer; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Denver and Macel Fisher; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Conda and Dickie Martin.
Walter is survived by his daughters, Kathy Ingram, Debbie (Greg) Fagan, and Lisa (Mitch) Roberts; grandchildren, Kevin Fagan, Lindsey Roberts, Jared Roberts, Jennifer (Greg) Fagan, and Amber Roberts.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 23 years with his final assignment at WPAFB. After his military career, he worked as a teacher and administrator in the Dayton Public School system for over 20 years. He dearly loved his wife and family and cherished the time spent with each of them. He'll always be remembered for his favorite reply "I've never had it so good."
Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. A visitation will also be held at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, 6837 Sissionville Dr., Charleston, WV from 12:30 - 1:30 pm on Thursday, July 9, 2015 with a service following at 1:30 pm and burial at Floral Hills Gardens of Memories, 6839 Sissonville Dr., Sissonville, WV. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
