KAVILLE, Jr., Walter I., of Xenia OH, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, died Friday January 6, 2012 at Elmcroft of Xenia Assisted Living following a courageous battle with cancer. He would have been 92 on January 8, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise. He was a proud and loving father and grandfather.
Surviving are his son, Robert W. Kaville, MD; two daughters, Lynne Kaville, Hamilton, OH and Janet Scudder and husband Stephen, Centerville, OH; four grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan, and Kimberly Kaville, Old Forge, PA and Stephanie Scudder, Pittsburgh, PA. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Spore, Philadelphia PA, and survived by his brother, Robert Kaville of Hatboro, PA.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army, in the Pacific Theater during World War II and was honorably discharged in January 1946.
Throughout his life, he was an accomplished musician and played in many orchestras and bands. He was also a published author regarding the music of his era, which was truly his passion until the end.
Interment will be at Dayton National Cemetery in Dayton, OH.
