Walter Honeycutt

Walter O. Honeycutt, age 89 of Huber Heights, passed away May 31, 2016. He was born September 5, 1926 in Mosheim, TN to the late William and Loula Honeycutt. In addition to his parents, Walt was preceded in death by 3 sisters, 2 brothers and son, Jerry L.

Walt is survived by his wife of 57 years, Hazel L.; son, James (Bonnie); brother, Ronald (Margie); 5 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews.

Walt was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, WWII. He retired from GM after 15 years of service. More than anything, Walt loved his family.

Visitation will be held from 3-6 pm on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Dayton VA Hospice Facility.
