Walter "Ron" Garrett

Walter Rondel Garrett, "Ron," age 73 of Huber Heights, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017. He was born January 24, 1944 in Martin, Kentucky, the son of the late Earnest and Hazel Garrett.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Ron is survived by his wife of nearly 54 years, Marti; sons, Duane (Bobbi) Garrett, Steve (Tara) Garrett; five grandchildren, Ryan (Natalie) Harkleroad, Brennen (Kelsey) Garrett, Kristopher Garrett, Kelli Garrett, Meghan Garrett; two great grandchildren, Brayden and Colton Harkleroad; as well as numerous other close family members and many friends.

Ron is a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from General Motors in 1999 after 32 years of employment. Following retirement, Ron found enjoyment in being a bus driver for numerous school systems.
