Walter Eugene Wahlrab

WAHLRAB, Walter, age 78, passed away Monday, December 22, 2008 at home. He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Doris Wahlrab. Walter is survived by his daughter, Linda Culver; grandchildren, Ross and Ryan Culver; brother-in-law, John Peters; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Elaine Dabbelt; niece, Diane (Paul) Fisher and family; good friends, John and Barbara Fox, Walt and Phyllis Trimbach, as well as numerous friends from high school. Walter retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 23 years of service and was an avid Ohio State fan. He was also a United States Navy veteran, who served during the Korean War. Walter was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who loved his grandchildren very much, and will be dearly missed. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 26, 2008 at Our Lady of Immaculate Conception, 2300 S. Smithville Rd., Dayton. Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Walter's caregivers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
