Walter E. Tolley Jr.
September 23, 1944 — April 10, 2022
Walter E. Tolley Jr., age 77, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 10, 2022.
He was born in Surveyor, West Virginia on September 23, 1944 to the late Walter Sr. & Nina (Reed) Tolley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.
Walter is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marie Tolley; children, Dana (Larry) Grigsby, Norman Tolley and Leah Tolley; grandchildren, James Grigsby, Destiny (Diego) Soto and Kristen Grigsby; one great-granddaughter on the way; brother, Carl (Sue) Daniel; and many other relatives, friends and his spiritual family at Needmore Road Church of Christ.
Walter's passion was preaching the gospel (Mark 15:15-16). He will be deeply missed by the people whose lives he touched.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 15, 2022 from 9-11am at the Newcomer Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH 45432. The service will follow at 11am with Richard D. Melson officiating.
Walter will be laid to rest at Miami Memorial Park, Covington, OH.
The family will receive friends following the interment at the fellowship hall, 2211 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH 45414.
