Age 66, of Union, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Hospice of Dayton.
He was born October 27, 1941 in Muncie, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert M. & Pearl E.; and his daughter, Cathy Girod.
Walter is survived by his wife of the past 13 years, Joyce M. (Dulaney) Stewart; five children, Connie (Bob) Kizer, Chuck Stewart (Rhonda), Jennifer Raia (Troy), Joe Dulaney & Jason Bush; one brother, Herbert M. II (Diana) Hufford; one sister, Bonnie L. Hufford; son-in-law, Dan Girod; grandchildren, Josh, Jason (Nicole), Seth, Bradley, Jessica, Nicholas & Nathan; and by one great granddaughter, Taylor.
Walter was the owner of Stewart Tool & Mold. He was a friend of Bill W. and was an avid golfer with many good friends on the links.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Urn burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Sidney.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Walter to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420.
