Walter B. Boley "Benny", age 81 of Enon, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023. He was born June 22, 1942 in Tampa, Florida to the late Robert and Ruby Boley. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Gene.
Walter is survived by daughter, Melissa Johnson; son, Rob (Megan) Boley; five grandchildren, Tina, Tara, Tabitha, Michael, Annabella; and nephew, Jason. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from the University of South Florida and later received his Master's Degree from Wright State University. Walter retired from the government after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed animals, watching movies, taking long walks, watching sports and yelling at the referees. The most important thing to Walter was family, he passed his love of reading on to both of his children and loved attending games with them all. "Pappaw Walt" is deeply loved and will be missed.
The family hopes those who would like to honor him will find a quiet time to remember who he was in your life and be thankful for the time you had together. In lieu of a public funeral service, individual families are encouraged to watch a sporting event and yell at the referee just as he loved to do.
