Walter Adkins , 80, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on February 24, 1933, in Sandyhook, Kentucky to the late Emory and Nona (Eldridge) Adkins.
He attended the Our Father's House Church on Brandt Pike. Walter loved hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred (Blakely) Adkins and their son, John Ray Adkins.
Walter is survived by his Wife of 7 years, Mrs. Mildred "Midge" Adkins; daughter, Linda; grandchildren, Jonathon, Jenny, Kristin, and Robby; numerous great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Joanna L. (Clint) Green; many brothers, sisters and good friends.
Visitation will be Friday, August 2, 2013 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory (4104 Needmore Road, Dayton), where His Funeral Ceremony will begin at 1:30 pm Friday, with his son-in-law, Rev. Clint R. Green Officiating.
Burial to follow in Willow View Cemetery.
