WALLACE DANIEL CROUSE, 78

Wallace (Wally) Daniel Crouse, 78, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on September 19, 2012. Wally was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on April 14, 1934.
Visitation will be held at 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on September 24, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel. The funeral service will be held at the same location immediately following the visitation. Pastor Andrew Wagner of Memorial United Methodist Church West Carrollton, Ohio will be officiating.

Wally was married to Gwendolyn House on September 16, 1972; they were married 40 years.

Wally entered the Army in 1954 and was stationed in Germany and the USA and subsequently worked at the Defense Electronic Supply Center in Dayton, Ohio and eventually retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base with 32 years of service.

He will be remembered for his deep love and devotion to his wife Gwen, his great joy in the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Wally never met a stranger and will be remembered for his gifts of his time to family, friends and neighbors. His yard work and snow shoveling routes for those who could not do it themselves was a generous and kind service to his family, neighbors and friends. One never left a visit with Wally that you did not carry something away that he wanted to give you, be it candy, food, drink, flowers or a promise to come to do work for you. His parting words as you left were always, "Is there anything I can do for you before you go?"
Wally is survived by brother Frank Crouse and spouse Hazel, sister Hazel Wright, sister-in-law Joan Crouse, immediate family members Sheila Falknor, Scott House, Renée Gilbert, Lois Kohlbacher, their spouses Terry Falknor, Connie House, Mark Gilbert and Bob Kohlbacher, grandchildren Amy Elkins and spouse Scott, Michele Janusheske and spouse Jason, Jeff Falknor and spouse Ronda, Craig Falknor and spouse Jana, Heather Wise and spouse David, David House and spouse Theresa, Ellen Mills and spouse David, Tiffany Presgraves and spouse Jeremy, Erin Otey and spouse Kevin; great grandchildren, Heather Falknor, Julia Mosser, Taylor Copland, Landon Lacour, Samuel Falknor, Joshua Elkins, Alyssa Elkins, Norah House, Ashlyn Mills, Natalie Mills, Hayden Otey, Declan Otey, Hannah Wise, Taylor Wise, Dawson Wise, Autumn Wise, Victoria Presgraves and numerous nephews and nieces and several great-great grandchildren.

Wally is preceded in death by his parents Oliver and Floy Crouse, brothers, William, Alva, Herbert, Fred, and Charles; and sisters Ethel, Ruth, Myrtle, and Stella.
