SLONE, Walker
Age 80, also known as Dad, Papa, Brother, Coach, and The Bugman. Born January 23, 1934 left this earth on July 11, 2014. Walker was at his home with his family by his bedside.
He then began his new journey into his Heavenly home to be reunited with wife, Elma Slone; son, Rick Slone; brother, Gene Slone; sister, Rosie Stringer; granddaughter, Serenity Slone; grandson, Nathan Slone; parents, Blaine and Sarah Slone; step-mother, Zella Slone.
Walker left behind, son, Mick (Treina) Slone; daughter, Lisa (Jeff) Nance; son, Chad ( Priscilla) Slone; son, Phillip Slone; 3 brothers; 4 sisters; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren & expecting 3 more.
Walker enjoyed golfing, mushroom hunting, gardening, horse races, trips to Kentucky, and spending time with family. He worked 55 years for Extermital Pest Control. Walker touched many lives within his 80 years; he will be greatly missed. Heaven got our earthly angel.
The family will receive friends starting at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Northridge Free Will Baptist Church, 4800 Payne Ave. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the church. Interment to follow at Willow View Cemetery.
