Vollie C. Casteel

CASTEEL, Vollie C., age 86, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2008. He is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Casteel; parents, Howard and Pearlie Casteel; brothers, Hubert, Goldman, Cecil, and James Casteel; sister, Lillian Stafford, and son-in-law, Kenny Flannery. He is survived by his daughters, Barbara June Flannery, Jane and husband, Burl Wilkey; siblings, Lucy Gray, Fred Casteel, Mae Beatty; grandchildren, Lori and Jason Flannery, Billy and Brian Wilkey; sisters-in-law, Dimple Gentry, Dorothy Phann, Kate Casteel, Kay Warren; brother-in-law, Browder Warren, and many nieces and nephews. Vollie was a WWII veteran serving in the United States Army with the rank of Sergeant in Company D of the 302nd Infantry. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Family will receive friends from 1:00pm until the time of service.
