Virginia R. Scruby, age 88, of Dayton, OH passed away on Tuesday January 14, 2014.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Moreton Frederick Scruby; daughter, Fredrica Lynn Cavalier; and sister, Diana Jean Buckingham.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Burton and Debra (Robert) Whitaker; grandchildren, Amy, Lena, Tracy, Joshua (Danielle), Heather, and Dawn (Wayne); and great grandchildren, Chloe, Robert, and Dione.
Virginia graduated from Stivers High School in Dayton, OH and Dayton School of Practical Nursing. She worked as a LPN at Miami Valley Hospital. She was a longtime member of Ohmer Park United Methodist Church in Dayton, OH.
Visitation is Wednesday January 22,2014 from 10am to 11am with funeral service starting at 11am at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
Interment to follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
